Before our cruise, as usual, we had made arrangements for Chestfield Cars to take and collect us from Tilbury. The outward journey went as planned, like clockwork. The return journey pick up time was arranged for Dec 8th. at 9:00 hrs, which was a Sunday! The last day of our cruise was a nightmare, but Chestfield Cars saved the day! My wife and I were stuck in a force 10 storm, on a ship off the Kent Coast and Tilbury Port was closed.

At breakfast time, our Captain explained that we were going to feel the motion of the ocean with storm Darragh and forecast our delayed arrival time as 10:30. At lunchtime it was revised to 13:30, at tea time 16.30 and at supper time it was revised to 22:00 hrs., when we finally docked.

We kept in touch with Chestfield Cars throughout and they were there, ready and waiting for us, when we finally arrived at Tilbury. They got us home in the early hours!

What a brilliant service they provide and we would like to thank them very sincerely! They have never let us down!
